Liquid

Finally, actual revenue is that which actually occurred in the company during the reporting period. Thus, it considers both sales and services with the issuance of invoices and those made without an invoice.

As a rule, the actual revenue must be identical to the fiscal revenue, given that companies are required to issue the document. Using the example you saw before, where the revenue was R$25,000, to arrive at the profit, all you need to do is deduct all of the company's expenses. In this case, expenses related to employee payments, office rent, taxes, utility bills, travel, etc. are considered.

If they add up R$15,000 in a month, for example, the profit for the period would be R$10,000. So this is the amount that the company has free, that is, left over in cash for use according to the managers' plans.

What are the types of profit?

Just like revenue, profits can be calculated and observed in different classifications. Here are the main ones:

Gross

Gross profit is when the account only considers the direct costs of providing the service or selling the product. Therefore, you must include as a deduction the purchase of raw materials and the amount paid for production or provision of the service.

Liquid

Net profit is more comprehensive and takes into account all liabilities from the same calculation period of your business. Therefore, it is not limited to direct costs, but takes into account other expenses during the period in question.
